Hello,
My name is Kate Freeman. I am a self taught artist living in a small town in Nebraska with my husgand and our pets. I have always been fascinated by animals of all kinds and became interested in painting them about 12 years ago.
I learned about Feather Painting through Barb Curtiss and a group of like-minded artists that I belong to. It is an interesting art form...a little tricky at times...but I like a good challenge and painting on feathers certainly provides that!
Sometimes I use tail feathers and sometimes wing feathers....I find them both beautifully suited for the subjects I enjoy.
I also enjoy drawing with graphite and colored pencils, mainly portraits of people and pets.
